Traditional feast which roots date back to the Middle Age, organized
during the celebration in Patron St. Giovenale's honor.
An impressive
competition in which young people of the ancient quarters participate.
While, dressed in traditional costume, they try to run a spear through a
ring which is supported by ropes extending through the houses of Via
Maggiore. In the evening the winners are decided and the town goes crazy,
lots of cantina's are opened up to provide home cooked food and rivers
of wine
Don't miss the big parade that files through the streets of
the city on the eve of the race, with the districts decorated with flags
and lit by torches. Many exhibitions, shows and concerts.
The Corsa all'anello takes place from the 3rd week of April to the 1st
week of May
