The small village of Castiglione in Teverina (20 km from Orvieto) thanks to its favorable climate produces an excellent wine.  So, to honour the wine, local people organizes every year, on the first 2 weekends of August, the wine festival.

It takes place in the whole "town center", from the top to the bottom.  Each street or piazza hosts stalls with food and wine including small playing bands.

It is an happening much loved by teenagers and young people that pour in from everywhere and stay there up to late at night or daybreak.

If you like the crowd, the music, the enjoyment, the food and the wine there is no better place, but pay attention to drink too much wine, because it's hazardous joking with the wine. Make sure your chaffeur is teetotal
