Castelvecchi is a hamlet in Chianti region, which dates back to the early Middle Ages. Castelvecchi should be one of the most
important settlement of Tuscany, and particularly of Chianti area. Still today part of ancient walls can be recognised in the round external boundary of our
cottages. The main activity of this Chianti Farm was agriculture. Today it has many vineyards and produces high quality Chianti wine, while the
farmhouse has been converted in tourist accommodations with:
- Bedrooms and apartments for 70 persons
- Two swimming pools, tennis court and horse-back riding facilities
- A typical restaurant where our guests can taste the famous tuscan cooking and
drink Chianti wine.
Apartments in cottages and in Villa: Our apartments are for two, four or six persons and we rent them for a minimum
stay of a week (from Saturday to Saturday). They are in the cottages of the Farm or on the second floor of the Villa (only for
two or four persons). Inside you will find linen, kitchenware, telephone, heating and everything you should need to spend
this Chianti holidays in autonomy.
The cottages are on more levels, with large living-rooms and fireplaces all equipped with exhausters in order to make your
stay pleasant and comfortable.
The materials are typical of this area: handmade cotto, stone, roof-trees which were part of the ancient buildings. The
bathrooms are new with every comfort (shower with box or bathtube, hair-dryer).
Each apartment, depending on how big is and
how many people can put up, is made of a living-room, a kitchen, a bathroom and one or more bedrooms.
The furniture is in Chianti country style: original pieces of the 19 century, valuable prints and knick-knacks make the atmosphere
cosy and comfortable.
- Rooms in cottages: These rooms located in the cottages of the Fattoria are all equipped with linen, private
bathrooms (shower with box and hair-dryer), heating and telephone. The furniture is in Chianti country style with some original pieces.
All our rooms are double, a minimum stay is not required and breakfast is included in the price.
If you stay two or more nights you can also take advantage of the half board treatment with an extra payment.
- Rooms in Villa: These rooms are located on the ground floor of the villa of Castelvecchi. All of them are
equipped with linen and private bathroom (shower with box and hair-dryer), heating, telephone and mini-bar.
The pieces of furniture (in country style or even original) together with the beautiful view generally on the park and the great
care for the details (brass water taps, refined coating of the bathrooms and etc.) will make your stay unique.
All our rooms are double, a minimum stay is not required and breakfast is included in the price.
Half board treatment is possible only for a stay of two or more nights.
Besides double rooms we also dispose of a suite with living room, bedroom and private bathroom.
Castelvecchi holiday rental, has two swimming pools at free
guest's disposal. One, which is round and smaller, has a diameter of 6,5 mt
and is in the historical park of the Villa. The other one, which has a rectangular shape (7X15 mt), has a coating of
vitreous material and is in a field recentely built next to the boundary walls of the park. Very close you'll find showers,
toilets and a room with a softdrink-machine. In Castelvecchi you can also find a tennis-court in 'tartan' at free disposal; if
you are interested in playing, you must be provided with tennis-balls and rackets. And naturally, don't miss to taste a good
glass of our Chianti Wine. How to reach us:
